I had a dream last night.
And in that dream a wise woman I’ve long admired was in my home, a sleep-over planned.
Pajamas, soul-satisfying conversations and laughter all present and accounted for.
It was the most perfect of nights, until that moment I asked the question closest to my heart.
She closed her eyes, deep in thought…then plumped up her pillow and pinned me with a look.
“You’ll figure it out. Trust yourself.”
And with that profound statement, she turned over and fell fast asleep.
I awoke with a start; the clock blinked 4:14 a.m.
On the fourteenth day of the fourth month 2013 I will turn 50 years old.
My wise woman is right.
I can trust myself.
And so can you.
Hi Sandi! What a beautiful dream! I would like to trade it for the one I had last night! In it was a snatch of a recurring dream I’ve been having for years now.I’m going back to school (I’ve been away for one reason or other and am late) It’s always the same: I don’t know where my home room is or what class I’m supposed to be in or where that class is. It does fit where I am and how I feel right about now. I hope I can figure it out as you will figure out your truth.
Lori
Lori As beautiful as my dream might seem, I didn’t really hearing “You’ll figure it out.” I think I was hoping for more along the lines of “Here’s what to do next…”
But what I hear in your dream is that perhaps all of life is your school, so it doesn’t much matter where you are. Maybe we could figure life out together 😉
Sandi Amorim Lori I know what you mean Sandi! And the dream always happens in Junior High, not High School, not university. It’s the first school I attended (elementary- junior high) I know it’s about the school of life.I hate feeling lost.
Love.
Carol Hess Love you!
Fantastic! Yes, that’s exactly where we all find ourselves, after all. It was nice there for a while, thinking maybe someone else held the answers but (good news/bad news?) it’s all within you. Happy 50th. Coming up behind you so make a good example for me!
Julie | A Clear Sign I will do my best to set a good example 😉
A very happy birthday for the 4th. Good to know some people are
almost as old as me and don’t necessarily need to drink prune to stay
regular juice, get up 4 times in the night and eat dinner at 4.30pm.
Of course I do all those things, but I’m sure you don’t 😉
TimBrownson Haha, I’m catching up but you’ll always be that little bit older 😉
And I’ll take a pass on the prune juice!
Oh my goodness…this message is *the one* that keeps being placed all weekend long (and now into the week)…I get it in words….trust…now to deepen the practice! (I’m up at 4am, I love that time of day, but the time the world around me awakens I have meditated, created, and celebrated!). Let’s do a Livestream champagne and chocolate to celebrate your 50th!
JoyChristin It’s awesome when we keep getting the message until we really GET it 🙂
Big Bdays this year…my youngest turns 16 in April.
I have every confidence that you will rock your day like no ones business! 😉
Kpugs I will do my best to rock 50 in a memorable way 🙂
No kidding..I DREAMT about you last night! I can’t even remember the content of the dream, except that you and I were hanging out face to face, and I kept thinking to myself how YOUNG you seemed to me!
Perhaps I was the wise old woman in your dream last night? 🙂
Sabrina at MyMiBoSo Hehe, perhaps! I’ll take my inspiration wherever I get it!
Right after I woke up I lay in bed for a minute or so and then thought to myself, why not get up and write this down? So I did, and here we are.
And one day (not someday!) you and I will definitely hang out, have fun and create together! xoS
Sandi,
I told you that the best days are still to come … keep dreaming, keep trusting.
be good to yourself
