Are You Ready to Listen?

Listen. . .

Your heart is beating.

It beats without instruction, whispering of a life force beyond your control.

Listen. . .

Your soul is speaking.

It speaks of why you’re here, and what’s important.

It doesn’t waste time with external considerations.

It wants what it wants. . .

For you. For your present. For your future.

Listen. . .

For when was the last time you truly listened?

Start with 5 minutes if that’s what you have.

But start.

Sit. Or walk.

Your presence is all that’s required.

Now breathe.

Listen to your heart, for there are things that make it come more fully alive.

Listen to your soul, for its only purpose is to guide you.

Turn down the volume of your mind to a barely audible hum.

For just 5 minutes, close your eyes.

And listen.

  1. Hi Sandi,

Nice blog! I have to agree with Jack, I think most people have more of a problem with following through with what they hear. I know this is one of my biggest shortcomings.

    1. Hey Vic, thanks for your comment! I do understand what you and Jack mean, but in my experience over the past 12 years of coaching it’s more often that people don’t listen to their intuition or desires and/or they’re not clear.

Having said that, I think for those of us who live/breathe/work in the personal development field it can be more related to not following through.

Either way, taking that one step forward is the key.
