“The ocean takes care of each wave ’til it gets to shore.” – Rumi
I’ve always loved the ocean.
It soothes me when troubled.
Inspires me when open.
And calms me when in need.
Reliable as the tides.
“It is easy to believe we are each waves and forget we are also the ocean.” – Jon J. Muth
“The wave is the same as the ocean, though it is not the whole ocean. The Ocean can exist without the waves, but the waves cannot exist without the Ocean.” – Paramahansa Yogananda
You are the same as the people you admire and respect.
They’re just riding a different wave.
It’s easy to forget you are part of something bigger than yourself.
Something as big as the ocean.
You’re afraid to believe that you are that big.
But believe it or not. . .
You are that big.
“Just like a sunbeam can’t separate itself from the sun, and a wave can’t separate itself from the ocean, we can’t separate ourselves from one another. We are all part of a vast sea of love, one indivisible divine mind.” – Marianne Williamson
“Like as the waves make towards the pebbled shore, So do our minutes hasten to their end.” – William Shakespeare
We all get the same amount of time.
No someday.
Just 168 hours a week.
24 hours a day.
What you do with your time is your choice.
But once you’ve chosen, there’s no going back.
Choose what makes you come alive.
And die with few regrets.
“Neither can the wave that has passed by be recalled, nor the hour which has passed return again.” – Ovid
“One must always be prepared for riotous and endless waves of transformation.” – Elizabeth Gilbert
We resist change, but life is always changing.
What if the change is to become more fully yourself?
“The wave does not need to die to become water. She is already water.” – Thich Nhat Hanh

I share this as I prepare for a two week trip to Hawaii, a place of beauty where the waves are legendary. Close your eyes and imagine with me – the warmth of the sun, the scent of flowers and the sound of the ocean. You will be with me in spirit as I share my experience in the writing to come.
And stay tuned, for the waves during this time will bring a few of my friends to share their wisdom while I’m away.

Aloha, Sandi! 🙂
Thanks Carol! Will probably come back with a new vocabulary 😉
Beautiful! And energizing and inspiring. Just like you 🙂
Have a wonderful holiday, my dear. You totally deserved it.
Soak in the energy of the ocean, the salty air, and the fragrances.
And come back as even a stronger dynamite! 🙂
Love you!
Stronger dynamite? Thanks a wee bit scary C.A. 🙂
I love this. I need that question “What if to change is to become fully yourself?”
More and more I believe that THAT is the real challenge in life!
This makes me want to cry, and I think I am in love with you! (That is what is on my mind as I finish reading every possible word on your web page!) I am truly happy and I know what I want and I know how I am going to get what I want. Finding you today is affirmation of this. I am so excited and I hear angels singing!!!
Oh my, how I love reading your comment 🙂
Thanks for stopping by, thanks for sharing and most of all thanks for your enthusiasm!
