The good news is
what you can be, you must be.
The bad news is
you can not change your roots.
An acorn must become an oak tree,
and you must become you.
Set aside your resolutions,
unleash your resolve and rest.
The space in between is patient,
the outcome is assured.
Then repeat after me. . .
“I resolve to become more fully myself.”
Prompted by A Year With Myself, a year-long adventure in empowerment.

“you must become you”! That’s beautiful – and a bit of a relief Sandi! That’s my job and no one can take it from me nor do it better than I can! 🙂

Yes, isn’t it sweet relief? That’s how I felt when I first heard that thought via Abraham Maslow.
“An acorn must become an oak tree” — Brilliant. Freeing.
Just as you’ve become the most perfect, uniquely you possible.
I resolve to become more fully myself! I’m working to cultivate myself this year.
The power of a shared resolve is strong! Thanks Meredith.
Love this. Simple, yet demands so much of US. Challenges us to reach a lot deeper.
How far down the rabbit hole are you willing to go? 😉
So true! I like it when the steps to becoming more “me” are as concrete as the brand new sales page that I published yesterday! It feels good to better describe what I can uniquely bring to my people. Hooray!
All of my projects are starting to fit together so much better…..Thank you for another great and encouraging post, Sandi! You rock!
Hugs and butterflies,
~Teresa~
I think that’s a definite sign that you’re becoming more you, when the pieces of the puzzle (life) start fitting together!
I have totally learned this over the past few years. As I give in my natural inclinations and resolve to be “more fully myself,” I find that my options are endless, ambition is stronger and successes more sweet. Brilliant post!
What a beautiful acknowledgment of how it’s worked for you. Thanks so much for sharing your experience Kate!
Beautiful, Sandi!
Yes! “I resolve to become more fully myself.””The space in between is patient, the outcome is assured.” <–thank you. The world of push, push, launch can learn from this.
The world of push, push, launch is seductive. We all need reminders from time to time!
My husband Mark’s photo reminded me of your lovely images.
Seductive indeed 🙂 I love the rays in that photo!
Beautiful – I feel more peaceful inside after reading this. Thank you.
Kind of the opposite to how resolutions feel 😉
“An acorn must become an oak tree, and you must become you.” Deep and provoking.
Looking forward to hearing more about how you are becoming YOU!
Poetic, simple, beautiful – just like you Sandi 🙂
Thank you for this beautiful bit of inspiration – oh I can’t wait to become more fully ME!
You stepping into your own light is beautiful.
‘The space in between…’ I love that. I’ve spent my life fighting that very space and am finally learning to rest. Ah, how freeing it is!
I’m starting to get the degree to which we fight that space is equal to the breakthrough once we surrender to it 🙂
