Gloria Steinem said, “The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off.”
Which one of these truths just reached out and nailed you?
That’s where your work is.

LOVE this! Especially #5 – “How you do one thing is how you do everything. Tell the truth.” AMEN, sistah.
thetarotlady That #5 is a sneaky one, so it’s a doozy! And telling the truth to ourselves is as hard, if not harder, than admitting it to anyone else, don’t you think?
#4 is the one that struck me.
Joshua Wilner/A Writer Writes Oh yeah, I’d say about 80% of my work is about telling a new story.
Hmm, #5 has left me pondering!
Jackie Walker So much possibility in pondering 🙂
Smack… #1
MichaelGarvey Oy, #1 is challenging and I go back to that one – OFTEN! I feel your smack 😉
I love this! So much wisdom in these five truths. This would make a great poster!
Which one nailed me? All of them! :0 But right now #4 is talking to me. A new story that inspires action. Yes! And I would add 4(a) — it would read, “Words do not equal action, Carol. Just because you’re talking about it, doesn’t mean you’re DOING something about it.”
Carol Hess 6. Words do not equal action. This poster is growing 😉
I love all 5 but #1 just smacked me upside the head! 🙂
RandiS I love how there’s always one that jumps out!
Number 3 for me. Will own my voice and bigness. Great message here, Sandi!
Cathy Taughinbaugh Imagine if we all owned our bigness… It would transform everything!
Hi Sandi!
I found #1 interesting – standards rather than expectations. Expectations are a tricky beast, aren’t they? But holding to your standards is solid, steady and sure. I guess this is the one that reached out and nailed me 😉
Thanks for that!
Lori
Lori Yup, #1 has nailed me more times than I care to admit! If I think of it in terms of energy, expectations are draining and standards are energizing, which helps keep me on track. Would you agree?
Sandi Amorim Lori Definitely! Well put Sandi!
These are absolutely brilliant and to the point as usual Sandi! Love #2 – has a lovely rhythmic quality to it – focus, repeat, focus, repeat, focus, repeat…
Sabrina at MyMiBoSo Focus…Repeat…Focus…Repeat…
New mantra, new tattoo perhaps? 😉
