There’s the story that’s wanting to be told, yearning to be expressed through you. Let’s call that your soul song.
There’s also the story that you made up as a child; a story that limits you and what’s possible for your life. It’s what you call the truth about you.
Which story will you speak into existence?
Because that’s what you do every time you open your mouth. You create something that is not currently in existence.
Think of your primary story; the one that’s been with you as long as you can remember.
I’m unlovable.
I’m not worthy.
I’m not enough.
I’m too much.
I’m not good enough.
Not. Good. Enough.
Imagine never speaking it again.
Really, imagine it for a moment.
When I go there, it’s beautiful and silent and anything is possible.
I’m asking you to go there too.
Stop speaking and sharing your old, well-worn story. It’s nothing more than a disempowering fairytale.
Say something new and create a future that was never going to happen.
Until now.
Yes. Yes. YES!! I’m singing my soul song loud and proud and waving goodbye to the old limiting story!
Isn’t it amazing how we touched on the same thing within 24 hours of each other? Now that’s what I call synergy. 😀
I think we’re also starting to realise that the limiting story is nothing but a cage that is easily broken by our strength and courage. Maybe we wait so long to take that first step away from the past because we can’t believe just how powerful we are to change our present and transform our future. But we are, and we can, and we will.
Thank you for this. LOVE the image, by the way. 😉
@otitiovuewhorie Often we stick with our old story because there’s a payoff, otherwise we’d be quicker to embrace change. So I look at areas where I’m stuck in some old limiting belief and ask myself, “What’s the payoff here?” It’s only when the cost to my aliveness becomes greater than the payoff that I begin to say something new.
@Sandi Amorim
Amen to that!
Nice:) Even if our day was magical, we can allow the story to ‘end’ when we sleep and wake to write a new one…Our choice. Our thoughts are powerful, and if we are going to write the story, it’s fun to use imagination, and allow for abundant delight, joy, and wonder 🙂
Beautiful, idea, thank you!
@JoyChristin yes, Yes, YES!!! More delight, joy and wonder please 🙂
It took a while to hear it, the full orchestra had to be brought in to play as I didn’t hear the lone player, but I’ve got it now 🙂
@jackiewalker Better late than never 🙂
@jackiewalker Better late than never 🙂
Oh yes, I’ve done away with the old story for while now and am writing a story full of joy and wonder, happiness and creativity! Thank you for reminding me to be grateful for that @Sandi Amorim .
I love what you say about that sweet silence that follows when we choose to no longer own the old story! Sweet silence until we fill it with the beautiful words that are like music to our ears:
I’m lovable.
I’m worthy.
I’m enough.
I’m never too much.
I’m good enough.
@Sabrina at MyMiBoSo I think it’s only when we have the courage to embrace the silence that we hear the new words.
@Sandi Amorim Your wisdom makes me so happy – I wish I could hug your brain sometimes. Love you sweet friend!
@Sabrina at MyMiBoSo My brain thanks you 🙂
I am actively working on that story now.
@TheJackB I know you are and I love that you talk about it often. I think we need to speak our new stories more often so they can take root!
